We don’t know, silly! We can’t see you! 

Just like people, body jewelry comes in many shapes and sizes. For the sake of trying to make our site as user-friendly as possible, you will see that we have many items available in standard and common sizes. If you are unsure of your piercing size, try printing out our Measuring Body Jewelry size chart.

It is crucial to the founder of Starfire that only high quality jewelry will grace the pages of this site. You will see detailed material information on each page specific to the item listed. There are currently no regulations in regards to the materials used for body jewelry. (Scary, right?!) 

 For example, there are many grades of stainless steel available: the kind you may have wrapped around your refrigerator; the kind they use to market the junk jewelry they sell at the fair; and then there’s implant-grade stainless steel. We only purchase from suppliers that provide us will Mill Certificates guaranteeing that we get the latter. 

 While some people may be able to wear a sweet-looking piece of jewelry they got for super cheap, the average person cannot. Often times there isn't a big warning sign that your body doesn't like a piece of jewelry, and sometimes by the time you notice a problem, there is damage that cannot be fixed. (Ever heard of a navel piercing rejecting?) Your best solution: wear high quality jewelry so you don't risk it.

No, body jewelry does not come to us sterilized. 

All jewelry from Starfire Body Jewelry Company is sold in new and unused condition. When your jewelry order is pulled we will cold sterilize the items in it when possible. They will then be placed in a baggie and sealed to be sent to you. If you would like to have your new jewelry sterilized, we offer an AUTOCLAVE ADD ON SERVICE for $5 bucks. 

 *Some organic plugs, decorative earrings, & specific stones are not able to be sterilized/autoclaved. You ever tried to sterilize a stick? We can't either. But, all of the body jewelry we carry is able to.

After you place your order, we will pull all in-stock items and prepare them for shipping. All in-stock items are shipped within 72 hours of order confirmation. You will receive an email as soon as your order leaves our pretty little hands.

Any preordered items will be processed when they arrive from the vendor.

Orders are not shipped until complete. If you place an order with some in-stock items and some preordered items our Customer Service Team will pull your in-stock items to the side to await the arrival of your remaining items. IF you would like to have your order sent in multiple shipments please reach out to us and we're happy to make that happen for you.

Remember that email we said you'd get when your order ships? In it you will find applicable tracking information for your package. (You will also receive an email when your package is out for delivery so you remember to check the mail after work!)

All orders valued at over $250 are sent with Signature Confirmation UNLESS directed by the customer to waive that. If you would prefer not to require a signature, please include it in your order notes or shoot us a quick email.

Had a case of the one too many cocktails... and did a little online shopping last night you didn't mean to? Let us know right away! We attempt to pull and ship orders as quickly as possible. Send us an email at info@starfirebodyjewelry.com with your order number and, IF we are able to catch it before it is picked up by the shipper, we will. Once the order has been picked up, we are not able to cancel it. If that’s the case, check our return policy.

This policy applies to all in-stock Jewelry Orders. This does not apply to any Preordered Items. Preordered Items cannot be cancelled / modified / returned.

As soon as you are ready to keep it... yes, please do! But know that we are not able to accept any returns once the baggie seal has been broken. As we've stated before, quality and sanitation are very important to us. You wouldn't want to purchase underwear someone has "tried on" would you? Now think about why it's so crucial with body jewelry. This is for your protection.

BROKEN SEAL = NO RETURN 

It's listed all over this site, in your new fancy package, and on the baggie your new jewelry comes in. Please don't try to tell us you didn't see it. The good news is that our baggies are clear (aside from the warning above). So, double check your shopping cart before you pay. Triple check the invoice in your package. And look at your new fancy piece through that baggie. If you decide that you would like to return your item, send us an email at info@starfirebodyjewelry.com with your order number and the item(s) you would like to return. 

Returns are expensive and timely. There are no refunds on shipping costs and all returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Customers are responsible for any return shipping fees. Balance of return will be issued as a store credit.

Oh crap! The robots must've not been plugged in all night. I'm sure you guessed it, behind all of these computers are real people filling orders. And they are doing it at strange times of the day, between customers, other jobs etc. So if a mistake is made, please contact us immediately via email at info@starfirebodyjewelry.com, and we will make sure to get you the correct items right away.

Then you get a new one! All of our body jewelry (this does not apply to organic jewelry and earrings) is made by companies that guarantee their jewelry to be free of flaws and defects. We've been ordering from many of these companies for over 15 years, and while it's very rare to have a setting fail, it can happen. If this happens to you, we are so sorry for the inconvenience, but contact us at info@starfirebodyjewelry.com, and we will go about getting your piece repaired or replaced. 

Now, as a friendly reminder, make sure that you are checking your jewelry for tightness. This guarantee covers if the gem falls out of the setting. You are responsible for making sure that you don't lose a threaded end, a captive bead, etc. 

This "warranty" applies to all body jewelry made by Industrial Strength, Anatometal, Body Vision Los Angeles - BVLA and LeRoi.

Did they explain why? If you purchase a navel curve and ask someone to put it in your septum piercing, then it makes perfect sense that they may decline. If you purchase a new pair of stone plugs (which, as you may have read in another FAQ, cannot be sterilized) a piercer will not put them in. However, if you just need help putting your new septum jewelry in your six-month-old septum piercing then you'll probably be in luck. Be sure to show your piercer where you got your jewelry from and the quality and there is a good chance they will be more than happy to help you. 

Please remember that a good piercer will have standards they adhere to.

Supplies cost money. Even for a simple navel jewelry change-out, your piercer will need to sterilize their tray and table. They will use a drape, at least one pair of gloves, some disposable products, often a pair of hemostats, and some cleanser. Things in the studio have to be kept super-duper clean for your safety and the next customer, too. If the studio charges you a fee up to $25, we believe it is very fair. Think the piercer went above and beyond? Maybe add a couple bucks on to say "Thanks"! 

You can always change your jewelry at home with way less supplies, which means you have more money to buy more jewelry. But if you need the help, pay accordingly.

Are you lucky enough to have a good quality studio near you? Then go support them! 

Jewelry sold on our site will be sold at standards often set by our suppliers. Additionally, as our founder has been a studio piercer for over 20 years, it is important to us to not take away from good piercers.

In most cases, YES! 

Our first priority is trying to get as much of our inventory online for you to browse as possible. Certain items that are constantly restocked in our inventory are able to be preordered if the color or size you want is out of stock. And, there are still some suppliers that are a little hesitant to have an online resource for body jewelry. As we strive to keep a good relationship with our suppliers, we will honor their wishes.
